Nemo - children's centre

The process of upbringing and education is organised according to a programme, approved the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science. The programme system “Kindergarten I am in” guarantees an optimal development of each child during the period of preschool education, getting a notion of the surrounding reality, developing communication skills and self- strengthening of the individuality.

"Kindergarten I am in" enables the pedagogue to demonstrate her/his sympathy, patience, self-control, warmth, readiness for direct assistance of the child. The main teacher’s role is to reduce the weight of the difficulties, to create singleness of purpose in rationalisation of the children’s ideas. During their contact with the children, the adults are bearers of the culture peculiarities and ethical human values. The adults are endeavouring to clean the way for the child, to give her/him a chance to reveal her-/himself and are making efforts to limit their own activity in order the child to increase her/his one.

The involvement of the adults in the child's personality development is indirect. Their task is to offer the necessary means and to wait patiently for this development, to help in orientation in the world, to open a way for spiritual development, to respect and understand the child’s needs, impulses, excitements and feelings, to encourage and stimulate them, to be a mediator, assistant and consultant. It is necessary that the parents and pedagogues satisfy the needs of the growing organism and to avoid disbalanced and erroneous development. A prerequisite for this is the application of an individual approach to each child according to her/his needs and abilities.

The 2003 programme for compulsory preschool preparation, on the basis of which the “Kindergarten I am in” was elaborated, utilises the person-oriented approach of preschool education, ensures favourable situations in accordance with the individual abilities and transitions between these situations, during which the child is looking for means for problem solving without previously having a scheme. The co-operation with the pedagogue, the ability to associate different points of view for the successful problem solving are the guidelines here.

For the purpose of a more precise results reading we carry out a diagnostic research on the input and output level of development (physical, psychical and intellectual) of each child during the "school" year.

The process of upbringing and education is oriented towards the interests, necessities and wishes of each child through establishing teacher-child partner relationship.
